Marianne's Story

My name is Marianne Lawrence, and I’ve been a proud member of ECN since 2023. I’m a Health Canada–licensed hemp farmer, growing on our small farm in Southwestern Ontario since 2018. We grow hemp for a small LP with CBD and CBD-THC products in the rec market, and I also do education in the retail stores for them.

Before farming, I spent over 30 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist with a passion for health and wellness. Becoming a hemp farmer led me to explore the plant’s medicine more deeply, and that journey brought me to the Cannabis Institute (formerly CCI), where I graduated in 2023.

I joined ECN knowing the value of a professional association—but I found so much more. I’ve seen firsthand the dedication of the leadership and the compassion and diversity of the community. I want to help ECN grow and thrive.

I bring a unique mix of experience and a deep passion for wellness, plant medicine, and traditional ways. I’m excited to keep learning and to help others do the same. I’m honoured to be a part of the Executive Team at EduCanNation.
