In July 2020, a small group of by Certified Cannabis Educators gathered in a Zoom room to share their passion for Cannabis education and to discuss what could be done to address the growing need for accessible, responsible and credible cannabis education in Canada.

​A common thread of struggles to find education, guidance and support from the medical community emerged as these women shared their personal journeys that lead them to educate themselves and seek certification so they could help others. It quickly became clear that there was a need to collaborate to create and promote standardize Cannabis education while providing professional support, guidance and continued learning to those practicing it.

As a result, EduCanNation Cannabis Education Inc, Canada's first and only Association Of Certified Cannabis Educators (CCEs) was officially registered as a nonprofit with the intention of laying the grounds for CCEs to become a recognized and regulated profession.
